NY: City parents not worried about sex offenders.

SARATOGA SPRINGS -- Despite repeated alerts about convicted sex offenders living in the city school district, parent groups at elementary schools have remained quiet, citing satisfaction with school security.
Four times since last January, the Saratoga Springs City School District notified all 4,500 families in the district about a sex offender who recently moved into the district.
"I can't say that having the notices has created any fear," said Jo Young, president of the Parent Teacher Student Organization at Caroline Street School. "Parents feel pretty confident about the safety of the school."
