IN: High Court Must Rule Quickly on Sex Offender Registry.

The state Supreme Court will have to rule quickly to keep photos and addresses of convicted criminals off the state's sex offender registry. On Thursday, the attorney general's office met a court-ordered deadline to provide the specific time and date for the launch of the new registry. I-Team 8 has learned it is sooner than the high court expected.
If the high court doesn’t put a stop to the state’s new sex offender registry, it will go online on Monday, January 6th at 4:30 pm. The state's high court set a 1:00 pm deadline today for the Indiana Sheriff's Association to divulge when it would make public the registry with offender photos and addresses.
