ID: Boise police say there’s better way to track sex offenders.

Every month, the state of Idaho provides cities and counties with a list of sex offenders who haven´t registered, and Boise Police say they may have found a better way to find those offenders.
The neighborhood contact officers for each of Boise´s 10 neighborhood service teams (five on the Bench and five in the valley) will now begin to track down sex offenders who haven´t registered. Detectives used to do the job, but police officials decided it made more sense to have the contact officers, who are more in tune with their specific neighborhoods, take over.
